COLUMBUS – A 24-year-old woman has been charged in connection with a rash of heroin overdoses in the Linden area last month.

Sara Eberhard, was charged with one felony count of heroin possession after members of the Columbus police Narcotics Bureau served a search warrant at a home on E. 17th Avenue Thursday, police said.
The search warrant was in response to an ongoing investigation associated with multiple overdose incidents in the Linden area, which left two people dead, on September 27.
Police say additional charges could be filed pending further investigation.
In a 24-hour period, 27 people suffered overdoses – two of them fatal. The 27 victims who were administered the overdose reversal drug naloxone was more than three times the usual number of cases in a single day, according to Columbus fire officials.
