COLUMBUS – A 28-year-old woman has been arrested in the stabbing death of a man inside her Plain Township apartment Thursday morning.

Shanara Culbreath was charged with murder in connection with the death of Vincente Mills, who was found by Columbus police officers sent to the Hudson Square Apartments at approximately 7:37 a.m. on a report of a fight between a man and a woman, Homicide Unit Sgt. Dave Sicilian said.
The officers found Mills, 41, lying against the front door inside of the residence, unresponsive and suffering from a stab wound. Sicilian says officers tried to revive him but were unable to do so and Mills was pronounced dead by Plain Township paramedics at approximately 8:31 a.m.
Culbreath had fled the scene before the first responders arrived and Sicilian says officers and detectives conducted extensive searches for her to no avail but she returned to the scene at a 2:15 p.m. and was arrested.
The investigation continues, Sicilian said.
This is the 24th homicide in Columbus in 2018.
