COLUMBUS – Police are looking for two men in connection with a triple shooting in the parking lot of a Northeast Side apartment complex Sunday night that left a 25-year-old woman dead.
Detectives say their initial investigation shows a fight escalated into gunfire outside 2385 Belcher Drive just after 7:45 p.m. where two women and a man were injured.
The dead woman, whose name was not released Monday morning, was found in a vehicle stopped on Cleveland Avenue just south of the shooting location and taken to Riverside Methodist Hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later, police said.
A 28-year-old man was listed in critical condition at Riverside while an 18-year-old woman was treated at OSU Medical Center, police said.
Two suspects, described as black males, fled the scene, investigators said.
This is the 30th homicide of 2016 in Columbus.
The victims’ names were withheld pending notification of next of kin.
