COLUMBUS – A 35-year-old woman fatally shot her sister during an altercation at the suspect’s East Side home early Saturday, Columbus police said.
Columbus police say officers responded to a report of a shooting at a home in the 3100 block of E. 13th Avenue around 3:12 a.m. Saturday and found 32-year-old Sade Garner lying in the driveway of a home, suffering from a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene, said Sgt. Jeffrey Strayer of the Homicide Unit.
Police say Garner was fighting with her sister, 35-year-old Anjoure Lawrence, who was arrested and charged with murder, Strayer said.
Online court records don’t indicate whether Lawrence has an attorney. A court hearing is scheduled for Monday.
