COLUMBUS – Police are still investigating an accident that took the life of a woman near Easton early Monday.
Investigators say the woman, whose name was not released was driving a Nissan Rogue eastbound on Easton Way, approaching the ramp to northbound I-270, at 2:18 a.m. when she failed to negotiate a left hand turn to enter the ramp and struck a concrete wall on the east side of the roadway.
She was taken to Grant Medical Center in critical condition and died shortly after 4:00 a.m.
This is the city’s 29th traffic related fatality this year.
The woman’s being withheld pending next of kin notification.
