Woman missing at Alum Creek

COLUMBUS – The search is expected to continue Monday for a missing woman at Alum Creek Beach in Delaware County Sunday.

According to a report on WBNS 10-TV, the woman was hit by a power boat while she was skiing. She was with a church group when it happened.

She has been missing since late afternoon on Sunday.

Search crews from multiple agencies were targeting the general area where she was believed to have went in the water.

The Columbus Dispatch reports the Australian woman, whose name was not released, fell while water-skiing and was hit by a boat at Alum Creek Lake on Sunday.

The woman was attending Ohio Teen Camp, one of several national camps sponsored by the Living Church of God in Charlotte, North Carolina. Water-skiing was listed among the activities at the camp for youths 13 to 18 years old

Ohio Department of Natural Resources officials say the boat’s driver, who was also not identified, has been cooperating with the investigation.
