COLUMBUS, Ohio – Police have not identified a suspect in the fatal shooting of a woman whose body was found in a vehicle in the parking lot of a Southeast Side apartment complex early Wednesday morning.
Officers responding to a report of shots fired and a woman being shot in front of 3334 Winter Lane Park just after 6:30 a.m. found Jerri Monique Glenn inside a vehicle which was parked in the parking lot in front of the address, Sgt. Dave Sicilian of the Homicide Unit said.
Glenn, was pronounced dead at the scene, Sicilian said.
WBNS 10-TV reports family members believe the shooting of Glenn was in retaliation for another crime a shooting a month ago at Brice and Chatterton roads.
The television station reports a dive team pulled a gun from a nearby pond.
This is the 24th homicide of the year.
