COLUMBUS – Police are looking for a vehicle they think was involved in a shooting that left a woman dead on the Northeast Side Wednesday night.
Mirracclle Anderson Morris, 25, was found on the floor of an apartment in the 2100 block of Parkville Court at approximately 8:32 p.m. by officers responding to a reported shooting, Sgt. David Shimberg of the Columbus police Homicide Unit said.
Detectives are looking for a person of interest who could be driving a 2014 Beige Hyundai with the Ohio license number JNY3407.
Anyone who observes the vehicle should call 911 to report its whereabouts and should not approach anyone near or in the vehicle, Shimberg said.
This is the 85th homicide of the year in Columbus and is still under investigation, he said.
Suspects in three murders arrested
Columbus police have arrested three suspects, including two 16-year-olds, in connection with murders in July.
Columbus SWAT officers on Wednesday arrested Kyrim Curenton, 16, who was charged with reckless homicide and illegally possessing a firearm in connection with the death of a woman caught in the crossfire of a gun battle on the East Side in July, Sgt. Edward Powell III of the Homicide Unit said.
Lelia King, 30, was killed as she sat in her vehicle in the 3200 block of E. Broad Street on July 16 and was struck by a stray bullet as two groups of people “recklessly exchanged gunfire,” Powell said.
Curenton was taken to the Franklin County Juvenile Detention Center after his arrest, Powell said.
Detectives asked for assistance in identifying three additional persons of interest after reviewing video evidence of the incident, Powell said.

Man sentenced to life for 2020 slaying
A Columbus man was sentenced to life in prison without parole on Wednesday for the March 2020 murder of a 23-year-old woman, according to the office of Franklin County Prosecutor Gary Tyack.
Jurors found William Elliott, 48, guilty of aggravated murder, aggravated burglary, kidnapping and tampering with evidence in the death of Maria Best, who died after Elliott and another defendant restrained, kicked and taunted her over a period of several hours before stabbing her and cutting her throat inside her apartment on Phale D. Hale Drive on March 13, 2020, Tyack said.
Surveillance video obtained from OSU East Hospital helped establish a timeline of events, including movement in and out of the victim’s apartment while the homicide was taking place, Tyack said.
The two 11-year terms for burglary and kidnapping will run consecutively and are subject to an indefinite sentencing scheme under the recently-passed Reagan Tokes Act, which Tyack says could add an additional 5.5 years to the sentence.
