COLUMBUS – Three more homicides were reported in Columbus in a 14-hour period Monday and Tuesday, on top of three murders and a suicide that happened over the weekend, bringing the total number of murders in the city this year to 138.
Officers called to the East Worthington Village apartment complex in the 800 Block of E. Dublin Granville Road at approximately 12:28 p.m. spoke with the manager of the complex, who said she went to check on a resident who was delinquent on her rent and, when she entered the apartment, she found Christina Antoline, 40, lying on the floor, unresponsive, Sgt. Edward Powell III of the Columbus police Homicide Unit said.
The witness left the apartment and called police who checked the entire apartment and found a man in the bedroom, also unresponsive, Powell said.
Antoline and the man, whose name was not released, were both pronounced dead at the scene.
UPDATE 8/24/21 3:34 p.m.: This story has been edited to include the name of the victim.
A man identified as 55-year-old William Harris was found by officers unresponsive and suffering from an apparent gunshot wound in a parking lot in the area of Lakeside South and Shore Boulevard East at 2:26 a.m. Tuesday, Sgt. David Shimberg of the Homicide Unit said.

Teens charged in shootings
Two teenagers were charged in separate shooting incidents Monday.
A 15-year-old boy was charged with felonious assault in a shooting that injured a woman while she was running away from a violent argument carrying her child, police said.
Proti’za McClure was listed in stable condition at an area hospital with multiple gunshot wounds to her torso, detectives said.
The 27-year-old McClure told police she she was on a friend’s porch in the 1100 block of E. 18th Avenue when a group of juveniles started arguing with someone at the home and the teen began firing at the crowd with a handgun, striking McClure as she started to run while carrying her child.
This incident is still under investigation.
A 16-year-old was arrested on a felonious assault charge after police say he shot another juvenile in the 5600 block of Village Glen Drive just after 4:30 p.m.
The victim was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
