COLUMBUS – A six-year-old girl was killed, her sister injured, and her pregnant mother lost her unborn baby after all three were hit by a car while they crossed a busy Far West Side road Thursday afternoon.

Tiffany Bronson and her two daughters were crossing the eastbound lane of Roberts Road, west of the intersection with Hickory Mill Drive, at 1:55 p.m. when they were struck by a Chevrolet Malibu driven by Robert Shaw, 57, of Galloway, according to a release posted on the Columbus Division of Police social media sites.

Bronson was transported to Grant Medical Center, where doctors performed an emergency Caesarian-section an delivered a stillborn baby, police said.

Emily Ashbrook, 6, and her 4-year-old sister, Elizabeth, were taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital where Emily was pronounced dead at 3:00 p.m.

Elizabeth was treated and admitted with serious injuries.
