Women’s hoops: BGSU 64, OSU 52

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Buckeyes could not overcome a cold-shooting first half and fell to Bowling 64-52 Sunday in women’s basketball.

The Falcons (6-1) outran the Buckeyes, shooting better than 53 percent in the second half and scoring 17 points off Ohio State’s 16 turnovers.

Miriam Justinger scored 12 of her 14 points from behind the three-point arc a led three BGSU players in double figures.

Ameryst Alston scored 15 points for the Buckeye, who fell to 5-2.

Ohio State shot only 18 percent in the first half and trailed 25-21.

The Buckeyes rallied to beat Marist 62-59 on Saturday.
