Zeke named player of the week

COLUMBUS – Ezekiel Elliott was named the Big Ten offensive player of the week for his 274-yard, three-touchdown game against Indiana Saturday.

“Zeke’s” 274 yards is the second highest single-game performance in the FBS for a game this season and second most in in OSU history.

His 243 yards in the second half is a new school record for a single-half performance, topping Keith Byars’ 195 yards in the second half of a game against Illinois in 1984.

Elliot scored touchdowns of 55, 65 and 75 yards, making him the first player in 10 years to have three 50-plus yard touchdown runs in one half, according to ESPN.
