Zeke signs $25M, 4-year deal with Cowboys

IRVING, Texas (AP) — Former Buckeye running back Ezekiel Elliott has signed a four-year contract with the Dallas Cowboys that includes a $16 million signing bonus and is worth nearly $25 million overall for the fourth overall pick in last months NFL draft.

Elliott is only the third running back the Cowboys have taken with a top-20 pick in franchise history. The other two are Hall of Famers Tony Dorsett and Emmitt Smith, the NFL’s career rushing leader.

In his three seasons at Ohio State, Elliott ran for 3,961 yards and 44 touchdowns.

Also on Wednesday, the Cowboys signed cornerback Anthony Brown from Purdue, safety Kavon Frazier from Central Michigan and running back Darius Jackson from Eastern Michigan. Dallas took those players in the sixth round.
