1 dead in S. Linden shooting

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Police were reportedly looking for a maroon SUV in connection with a fatal shooting in South Linden late last night.

Officers responding to several reports of gunshots in the area of E. 26th Avenue and Cleveland Avenue just after 10:30 p.m. were director to a home at 1502 E. 26th Avenue where they found Reginald Ivery, Jr., suffering from a gunshot wounded to the upper body, Homicide Unit detectives said.

Ivery, 33, was pronounced dead at the scene by Columbus medics.

According to reports, a suspect fled the scene in a maroon Ford Explorer.

This is the 19th homicide of the year.
