2 hurt in North Side drive-by

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The search is on for at least two people Columbus police say were involved in a drive-by shooting on the city’s North Side that left two 18-year-old men injured.

Ashton Richmond was listed in critical condition at OSU Wexner Medical Center after he and Trayvon Patterson were taken there late Sunday morning, suffering from gunshot wounds, Assault Unit investigators said.

Officers investigating a reported shooting just before noon found the two men lying outside a home down the street from Patterson’s Hiawatha Street, detectives said.

Witnesses stated that two people got out of a car that came to a stop in front of 2589 Hiawatha Street and shot the victims as they were walking southbound, police said.
