COLUMBUS – Police say a man shot his brother during a quarrel in a Southeast Side apartment Thursday afternoon.
At approximately 4:03 p.m., Dakuan Gorden was arguing with his 20-year-old brother, Dalon Whiteside, at 4826 Laraine Court, in the Amberly Square Apartments, when Whiteside pulled out a handgun and shot Gorden once in the abdomen, said Det. David Younker of the Columbus police Assault Unit.
Gorden, 23, was taken to a local hospital in critical condition but his condition was upgraded to stable condition, Younker said.
Whiteside has been charged with felonious assault but Younker says the incident is still under investigation.
