COLUMBUS, Ohio – Charges have not yet been filed on a bizarre shooting that left a Columbus man dead in a Far West Side apartment.
Columbus police say Jonathan Gardner was gunned down yesterday in a Burnham Drive apartment by someone who fired a gun from a nearby apartment.
Investigators believe the bullet traveled through a wall and struck Gardner in the chest.
Officers responding to a reported shooting found Gardner suffering from a single gunshot wound around 12:50 p.m. Sunday. He was taken to a local hospital where he died from his injury.
The person who fired the gun has been identified but has not been charged by police.
