CLEVELAND (AP) — Baker Mayfield had one of those days.
Cleveland’s rookie quarterback was sacked five times, threw two interceptions and showed some inexperience in a 38-14 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.
Mayfield made some poor decisions, but he wasn’t helped by rookie wide receivers Damion Ratley and Antonio Callaway, who both missed chances to make TD catches in the first half.
Los Angeles had its most complete performance this season.
Philip Rivers threw two touchdown passes and Melvin Gordon scored three times for the Chargers, who stayed in Cleveland before flying to London to face Tennessee next Sunday.
