Cleveland ready for its closeup

COLUMBUS, Ohio – If you’ve ever wanted to work on a Hollywood movie, now may be your chance.

Two major motion pictures begin filming in Cleveland this spring.

Marvel’s “Captain America: Winter Soldier” will start shooting in late spring in Cleveland and they are looking for local crewmembers.

There is information online for crew positions only, no actors or extras.

A football-themed movie begins production in Cleveland in May, according to the Ohio Film Office.

The shoot for “Draft Day,” starring Kevin Costner will take approximately 100 days, and the state agency says the crew will need some help from the local public.

More than 1,200 extras will also be needed.

The Ohio Motion Picture Tax Credit was initiated to help advance the motion picture industry in the state, creating job opportunities and revenue, by granting tax credits based on the number of Ohioans employed and the dollars spent in the state.
