COLUMBUS, Ohio – If a Columbus man’s online dating profile says he doesn’t have kids, be skeptical.
Just in time for Father’s Day, the dating website WhatsYourPrice.com found that men from Columbus are more likely than those from any other city to lie about having children when they fill out their profile.
The website surveyed more than 13,000 of its members, and found 46 percent of Columbus men say they don’t have kids when they do, most in the nation, followed by those from Indianapolis (44%), Pittsburgh (43%) and Kansas City and Detroit (both 40%).
The site asked the men who used it if they have kids, and then compared the results with the information the men put on their dating profiles.
The study found that about one third of all men throughout the country lied about having any kids.
