AKRON, Ohio – Testimony resumes today in the trial of the alleged mastermind of the “Craigslist killings.”
Richard Beasley’s trial opened yesterday with Special Prosecutor Emily Pelphrey telling the jury in her opening argument that Beasley put his admission in writing.
Beasley’s attorneys told the court Beasley isn’t a saint, but he’s not a killer either, and there’s not enough evidence linking him to the crimes.
Beasley is accused of luring three men to their deaths in southern Ohio through a phony help-wanted ad on Craigslist.
A fourth man was wounded and escaped to alert authorities.
