COLUMBUS, Ohio – More than a dozen people are facing charges in the bust of a central Ohio drug ring.
Franklin County sheriff’s deputies rounded up 13 suspects yesterday after they were indicted at the end of a six-month investigation, Sheriff Zach Scott said.
The suspects are accused of peddling thousands of Oxycodone tablets and Xanax pills in the region.
Scott says Marlene and Marsha Belcher were the ringleaders, overseeing an operation that brought an estimated $770,000 worth of Oxycodone and Xanax pills into Franklin County over a one-year period.
Marlene, 38, of Columbus, and Marsha, 35, of Grove City, have been indicted on charges of drug trafficking and engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity.
