COLUMBUS – A man was killed early Sunday when gunfire broke out during a party in a North Linden townhome.
UPDATE 2/24/21 7:01 a.m.: The suspect in this homicide has been identified as 27-year-old Josie Papay Kamara.
Officers responding to a report of a possible shooting in the 3500 block of Greenwich Street at 4:22 a.m. found a man inside of 3572 Greenwich Street suffering from a gunshot wound, Sgt. David Shimberg of the homicide Unit said.
The man, whose name was not released immediately, was pronounced dead at just after 8:00 a.m.
Shimberg says it appears, that there was a party taking place at the location when an argument started and an unknown person began firing a weapon inside the apartment.
This is the 31st homicide of 2021 in Columbus.
The incident is still under investigation.
