COLUMBUS – As hospitals around the world run desperately short of everything from masks to ventilators, the four largest central Ohio healthcare systems have announced a collaborative effort to coordinate the collection of medical supplies.

OhioHealth, The OSU Wexner Medical Center, Mount Carmel and Nationwide Children’s Hospital are providing ways to drop off supplies at a dozen locations or arrange to make donations:

Franklin County Emergency Management and Homeland Security is accepting personal protective equipment donations at 5300 Strawberry Farms Blvd. Monday- Friday 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.. Donations must be in sealed manufactured packaging and a valid driver’s license is required.
Hospitals are reporting shortages of personal protective equipment, such as masks, gowns and gloves, and those are expected to worsen even as global demand grows.
