Inman faces death penalty after conviction

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio – Jurors in the trial of William Inman tomorrow begin the process of deciding whether he will be executed for his role in the abduction-slaying of his daughter-in-law.

A Ross County jury convicted Bill Inman yesterday on six counts, including aggravated murder, in the death and dumping of Summer Inman (above) in 2011.

Summer Inman was kidnapped in a Logan alleyway, strangled and her body was dumped in a church septic tank in March, 2011.

The charges include two counts of aggravated murder and one each of murder, kidnapping, tampering with evidence and gross abuse of a corpse.

Inman could be sentenced to death by lethal injection.

Inman’s son and wife are already serving life sentences for their roles in the murder.
