Flooding as a result of heavy rain Tuesday forced people from their homes in the Gould Park area of Northeast Columbus, as well as Corning, Crooksville, Mansfield, Bellville and Mt. Gilead.
Four young men had to be pulled from the floodwaters in Crooksville after they tried to canoe through the center of town. They will be charged with inciting a panic, according to Perry County authorities.
Meanwhile, the Red Cross has set up shelter at Crooksville High School, 4075 Ceramic Way, and Corning-Monroe Civic Center, 115 Forming Avenue, for displaced residents in Perry County and at Galion High School.
