Legionnaire’s disease claims 6th victim

REYNOLDSBURG, Ohio – A Reynoldsburg retirement home is testing water and installing special filtering shower heads in the wake of a Legionnaires’ disease outbreak that has killed several residents.

Health authorities announced a sixth death at the Wesley Ridge Retirement Community yesterday.

Nearly 40 people have become sick from the bacteria found lurking in the facility’s water systems and residents in one of Wesley Ridge’s buildings are still not allowed to shower or drink tap water.
