COLUMBUS, Ohio – A 32-year-old Fredericktown man is under arrest after trying to have sex with someone he thought was a teenage girl, but was really an undercover investigator.
Nathan Baker was arrested last Friday after he arrived at the arranged rendezvous spot, Franklin County Sheriff Zach Scott said.
He was charged with importuning and attempted unlawful sexual contact with a minor, Scott said.
Thinking he was communicating with a juvenile female, Baker allegedly arranged to meet her in person for sex and even arrived at the pre-determined meeting place with condoms, Scott said.
Baker was actually in contact with an investigator with the Franklin County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
