COLUMBUS, Ohio – A fatal accident on the East Side overnight took the life of a Columbus man and took an entrance ramp out of action for much of the night.
According to Columbus police Timothy Cline, 23, was eastbound on Easton Way at I-270 at 2:17 a.m. when he failed to negotiate the left turn onto the entrance ramp to the northbound lanes of the interstate. His 2005 Chrysler 300 struck the concrete wall at the east end of the T-shaped intersection.
Cline was transported to Grant Medical Center but died from his injuries.
The entrance ramp was closed until approximately 5:30 a.m.
