Meyer: Braxton should return

COLUMBUS, Ohio – It looks like the Buckeyes will have the services of quarterback Braxton Miller when they open Big Ten play this weekend.

Head coach Urban Meyer told reporters yesterday Miller is “90 percent” able to return to action from a sprained knee suffered in the San Diego State game.

Backup quarterback Kenny Guiton led Ohio State to resounding wins the last three weeks, earning him honors from the Big Ten and across the nation, including back-to-back honors as Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week.

The latest conference weekly honor came after his performance against Florida A&M Saturday, in which he threw six touchdown passes, a school record and the second-most in Big Ten single-game history. “Kenny G” completed 24 of 34 passes for 215 yards while only playing in the first half of his second career start.

The fifth-year senior was also named the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award National Player of the Week for Week Four. The honor is given to the football player that best exhibits integrity, performance and teamwork.

He won Walter Camp National Player of the Week honors after his performance against Cal.
