COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Gophers got a buzzer-beating, game-winning shot from Rachel Banham to beat the Buckeyes 57-56, Thursday at Value City Arena.

Tayler Hill led all scorers with 25 points, including a perfect 14-for-14 at the free-throw line.

Banham and Micaella Riche scored 17 points for Minnesota, who led by six at halftime.

The Buckeyes outscored the Gophers in the second half but trailed by two with :19 to play.

Raven Ferguson stole the ball from Banham and hit a three-pointer with :13 on the clock to give the Buckeyes the lead.

But Banham hit her clutch shot to allow the Gophers (16-11, 5-8) to leave town with a win.

Ohio State (14-12, 4-9) hosts Michigan State on Monday.
