Missing Powell teen’s car found in Kentucky

POWELL, Ohio – Police in Powell say a teenager missing since Monday is in danger and believed to be in Kentucky.

The Powell Police Department issued an endangered missing juvenile alert for 17-year-old Billy Scheetz on Tuesday.

Scheetz went missing sometime after midnight Monday and the 2012 Ford Fiesta he was believed to be driving was recovered on U.S. route 31 in Mt. Washington, Ky., southeast of Louisville, police spokeswoman Megan Canavan said.

Sheetz is described as 5’5”/ 150 lbs. with brown hair and green eyes.

Powell Police Search and Rescue has joined with the Bullitt County Sherriff’s Office and the Louisville Police Department Helicopter Unit in the search.
