Nebraska 62, OSU 53

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Nebraska’s Jordan Hooper scored 10 of her game-high 28 points in a four-minute stretch at the end of the first half to set the Cornhuskers on the path to a 62-53 win over the Buckeyes at Value City Arena Thursday night.

It was the third straight loss for Ohio State (11-10, 1-7).

Hooper and Emily Cady took over the game with 4:37 remaining in the first half and Nebraska leading 20-19.

By the time the clock had ticked down to 18 seconds, they had combined for 12 unanswered points. Hallie Sample’s layup widened the gap to 34-21 before Tayler Hill stopped the streak with a layup and a free throw in the final 6 seconds to cut the lead to 10 points at halftime.

Lindsay Moore finished with 11 points for the Cornhuskers (15-6, 5-3) and Cady tallied 10 points.
