COLUMBUS – Peloton plans to spend about $400 million to build its first U.S. factory in northwest Ohio.
The exercise equipment maker said Monday that the Peloton Output Park in Wood County will make the Peloton Bike, Bike+ and Peloton Tread starting in 2023.
The Ohio Tax Credit Authority approved a 2.3 percent, 15-year tax credit for the project, which will encompass more than 200 acres and more than 1 million square feet of manufacturing, office and amenities space northeast of Bowling Green.
The site will eventually employ more than 2,000 workers.
The exercise equipment maker has been working to keep up with soaring demand during the pandemic.
The agency also approved an eight-year tax credit for Bath & Body Works Direct Inc. for an expansion project in Commercial Point that is expected to create 500 full-time jobs.
