Polling places on the move

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Nearly 30,000 Franklin County voters will be casting ballots in new locations next month.

The Franklin County Board of Elections says 16 polling places in Columbus, Hilliard and Galloway are moving because of renovations and other factors.

Postcards are going out to the affected voters and they can also find polling places online.

The changes will affect an estimate 27,000 of 790,000 voters registered countywide, board spokesman Ben Piscitelli said.

While public sites are undergoing renovations and will be unavailable, Piscitelli says the private sites are changing due to owners opting out as a voting location.
