Rascal Flatts heads Presidents Cup ceremony

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Grammy Award-winning country band Rascal Flatts, which includes two members from Columbus, will headline the opening ceremony for the Presidents Cup, which is being played this fall at Muirfield Village Golf Club.

This is the first time in the event’s 10-year history that an off-site ceremony will be open to the public.

The Presidents Cup features teams of U.S. and international golfers in a team match-play competition from Oct. 1-6 at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin.

The event, complete with international food and entertainment festival will be held at the Columbus Commons on Oct. 2.

The international festival begins at 5:30, followed by the opening ceremony. the concert and fireworks from 8:30 until 9:30 p.m.

Beginning August 1, a total of 5,000 general admission tickets to the ceremony are available at the Presidents Cup website via and at all Columbus-area Kroger stores for $30 with a portion of the proceeds benefitting Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
