CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Reds are no longer searching for a manager.
According to Fox Sports, Cincinnati has decided to elevate pitching coach Bryan Price to be the skipper.
Price has been the team’s pitching coach since 2009 after serving the same position with the Mariners, Diamondbacks and Phillies from 2001 to 2009.
The 51-year-old replaces Dusty Baker, who led Cincinnati to the playoffs in three out of six years on the job but never advanced to the National League Championship Series.
His record with the Reds was 509 -463.
