Schoool bus driver charged with luring teen

COLUMBUS, Ohio – A Pickerington school bus driver is behind bars, accused of trying to solicit a teenage boy for sex.

Timothy Campbell was arrested Tuesday week after allegedly scheduling a rendezvous with a deputy posing as a 15-year-old boy, Franklin County Sheriff Zach Scott said.

Campbell, 54, has been a bus driver in Pickerington, through the school district’s private contractor.

Scott says Campbell arranged the meeting and arrived at the pre-determined location with two unopened condoms.

Campbell has been charged with importuning and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, both felonies and the information has been handed over to Pickerington police, Scott said.
