Ohio’s reopening: “Strong, but safe”

Governor Mike DeWine and officials in his administration are hoping to start reopening the state’s non-essential businesses on May 1 but will do so cautiously to avoid a resurgence of the coronavirus.

School closings mean no spring HS sports

With the announcement by Gov. Mike DeWine that Ohio school facilities would not reopen this school year due to the coronavirus outbreak, the governing body of high school sports in Ohio announced that spring sports would be canceled and its executive director said the organization’s attention had turned to salvaging fall sports in the state.

DeWine encouraged by FDA on testing supplies

Governor Mike DeWine is calling on the federal government to help provide crucial materials that would allow a dramatic increase in testing for coronavirus in his state — and later reported a “very positive” response from the agency concerned.
