Sentence in video confession due Oct. 10

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Matt Cordle will find out in a little over two weeks how much time he will spend in prison for killing a Gahanna man in a drunk-driving accident in June.

Sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 10 for the 22-year-old Powell man admitted to causing the deadly crash in an Internet video.

Cordle followed through on his promise yesterday by pleading guilty to an aggravated vehicular homicide charge, which carries a possible sentence of eight years in prison.

Cordle was charged after making a YouTube video in which he confessed to driving drunk in June when he killed Vincent Canzani, 61, in a wrong-way crash on I-670 near Neil Avenue.
