Shooting victims found in fast-food parking lot

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Columbus police have still not identified a man who was killed in a double shooting yesterday on the East Side.

Witnesses told investigators they heard as many as nine shots before two suspects left the scene near a fast-food restaurant.

Police officers found two men in a car in the parking lot of a Wendy’s at 4035 E. Livingston Avenue just before 4:15 p.m., detectives said.

David Hawkins, 26, was taken to Grant Medical Center where he was listed in critical condition but the other victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police still had not positively identified the dead man early this morning.
