COLUMBUS, Ohio – A Xenia man is due to be arraigned on forgery charges today after Columbus police say he sold another man bogus tickets to the US-Mexico soccer match at Crew Stadium Tuesday.
Anthony Dunston, 43, is scheduled to appear in Franklin County Municipal Court, charged with five counts of forgery and four counts of possessing criminal tools after police say he sold Carlos Guerra counterfeit tickets.
Detectives with the Fraud and Forgery Unit say Guerra met Dunston on Saturday after arranging to buy the tickets advertised on Craigslist
Police said the tickets were found to be counterfeit after the purchase when they were compared to one sold through an authorized ticket agent.
Police say a warrant was issued for Dunston, who was arrested Tuesday at the intersection of N. High Street and W 1st Avenue.
Court records do not list an attorney for him.
