State debuts BMV kiosks

COLUMBUS – The state is offering Ohio drivers another way to avoid lines at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles.

New BMV Express self-service kiosks are being installed at nine deputy registrar and retail locations across the state (see map), three of them in Columbus, where motorists can renew their vehicle registrations, in some cases at any time of the day or night.

The BMV Express kiosks are currently active at the following locations:

  • Deputy Registrar, 3481 E. Broad St., Columbus
  • Deputy Registrar (outside of the BMV), 990 Morse Rd., Suite A, Columbus
  • Rhodes Tower Lobby, 30 East Broad St., Columbus
  • Deputy Registrar, 972 N. Court St., Medina
  • Meijer, 6325 S. Gilmore Road, Fairfield
  • Meijer, 7150 Executive Blvd., Huber Heights
  • Meijer, 2200 Tiffin Ave., Findlay
  • Meijer, 1391 Conant St., Maumee
  • Riesbeck’s Food Market, 800 Howard St., Zanesville

Users will be able to instantly print off registration cards and validation stickers directly from the kiosk.

The BMV plans to expand the system to additional locations after gathering data on usage from the nine pilot locations.
