COLUMBUS, Ohio β Classes were held as usual at Watkins Memorial High School in Licking County after a 15-year-old student threatened to shoot up the school.
βIn conjunction with the Sheriff’s Office, we believe all steps have been taken to ensure that our students at WMHS are safe. Any questions about the investigation can be directed to the Licking County Sheriff’s Department,β read a statement of the Southwest Licking Local School District website.
The teen was behind bars this morning after sheriff’s deputies say he was arrested yesterday when he threatened his schoolmates’ lives on his bus ride home.
Parents were notified by phone last night about the threat and were assured by school officials the threat is over.
