COLUMBUS, Ohio – Central Ohio’s biggest fundraising effort is underway.
The Columbus Foundation’s “Big Give” will allow people to donate money online to more than 600 nonprofit groups around the region over a 24-hour period. All gifts will be “amplified” from a $1.1 million in bonus pool, Carol Harmon, the foundation’s vice president for communications and marketing, said.
During the last Big Give in 2011, 10,000 donors generated $8.5 million, Harmon said.
