CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Indians will face the Tampa Bay Rays in a one-game playoff game Wednesday at Progressive Field.
The Indians, who come into the game having won 10 in a row, will send Danny Salazar to the mound. First pitched is slated for 8:07 p.m.
The winner moves on to play Boston in the best-of-five division series.
David Price tossed a seven-hitter and the Rays defeated the Texas Rangers 5-2 in a one-game playoff to decide the American League’s final wild card. Evan Longoria cracked a two-run homer as the Rays and Rangers each played their 163rd game of the regular season.
