COLUMBUS, Ohio – Authorities are trying to determine if a man who held up a campus-area bank Thursday morning is the same one who robbed the same bank less than two weeks ago.
Ohio State University Police Division and the Cincinnati Division of the FBI are investigating the holdup at the Huntington Bank, 235 W. 11th Avenue, shortly after 9:30 Thursday morning.
The same branch had been robbed Sept. 14 and police say the suspect in that robbery (above) strongly resembles the one in Thursday’s heist (below).

The suspect in the first robbery is described as 25 to 35 years of age, 5’8″ to 5’10” tall/150 to 170 lbs., was wearing tan pants, a black Adidas jacket with white stripes on each sleeve, a ball cap, and was armed with a handgun.
Witnesses said the suspect in the second robbery looked much the same: He had a having a medium build, short brown hair and was wearing a plaid shirt, blue jeans, black hat, and sunglasses and was armed with a knife.
OSU Police and FBI are investigating. Suspect photos from the first incident are available at http://dps.osu.edu/. Photos from the second will be added as soon as they are available. This Public Safety Notice is being issued to heighten awareness that the suspect information is similar, suggesting a pattern and to ask for assistance from the university community in gathering information about his whereabouts.
