COLUMBUS, Ohio – Two men were taken to the hospital after escaping a fire in a Southeast Side duplex early this morning Columbus fire officials said.
Both men suffered from smoke inhalation and one of them had a slight injury, which resulted from jumping from the home at 817 Wager Street, where fire broke out on the rear porch just before 4:00 a.m., assistant Columbus Division of Fire public information officer Lee Cole said.
Seven other people, living in the other side of the duplex, escaped without injury, Cole said.
