COLUMBUS, Ohio – It’s not every day you can get a burger served up by a member of Congress.
Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (D-Columbus) will be dealing the sliders at the White Castle at 1080 S. Hamilton Road for one day to celebrate National Hamburger Month, her office said.
Beatty will be working at the restaurant from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Beatty will take orders and get behind the grill and prepare some of White Castle’s famous square burgers.
Now headquartered in Columbus, White Castle was founded in Wichita, Kan., in 1921 and was America’s first fast-food hamburger chain.
