Washington’s McDuff is new women’s basketball coach

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State has named Kevin McGuff their head women’s basketball coach.

McGuff spent the previous two seasons at Washington, compiling a 41-26 record and two WNIT berths.

He replaces Jim Foster, who was fired March 19.

Last season he led the Huskies to a 21-12 mark.

On the recruiting trail, he landed the program’s first two McDonald’s All-Americans: Katie Collier in 2012 and Kelsey Plum in 2013.

McGuff also spent nine seasons at Xavier previously, has compiled a career record of 255-99 and has reached the postseason each year.
